I have quite a few watches, but I haven't encountered the OLEVS brand before. This watch's design is styled after more expensive watches from more premium, well-known brands. It arrived as pictured within a nice gift box, but the watch was wrapped in a fair amount of protective plastic film, which took a little while to remove. Visually, the watch looks nice, but I find the dial is somewhat distracting due to its design. The diver-inspired design looks nice, but some of the elements hinder readability. I'm not the biggest fan of the design choice to replace the hour markers with excessive decoration: regular numerals or dots would have been fine. In terms of build quality, it feels relatively well-built. I haven't had the chance to remove a couple of links to make the strap fit a bit better, but as I'm not really the biggest fan of the design, I'm have left the strap unchanged. The watch seems to keep time well, at least over the couple of weeks I've owned the timepiece. Adjusting the date and time is very straightforward, and similar to other quartz watches. Overall, while I don't think I'll be using this watch going forward (as I have my favourites), it seems to be an ok-enough watch that draws inspiration from other brands. I think I would have liked the design a lot more if the designers tried using more sensible original ideas, opposed to relying heavily on design choices from other models.

Absolutely awful, at the time of writing I got the watch delivered 10 minutes ago took it out of the packaging and it’s really lightweight (however because of the price I wasn’t expecting any miracles). However I put it on and within minutes one of the pins broke and it just fell apart.

Quartz watch from OLEVS. This is a basic quartz watch which comes with a stainless steel strap and it includes a link removal tool which is a welcome addition. I received the black dial with silver band version which looks really good in my opinion. The build quality is reasonable and the watch looks to be well made with quite a basic looking design in all honesty. It's probably more suited to casual day to day wear due to its design but its perfectly functional. It's priced a bit higher than I'd like to pay though so I'd look out for a voucher or sale if you do like the look of it. I'll continue wearing it for work and feel that it's worth a 4 star review.

This watch is surprisingly good looking. It resembles a diver’s watch. I got the black dial/silver band version. The white hands against the black face make it easy to read the time at a glance. The second hand is thin and not painted and is therefore discreet. It has a large face. In case you want to know, I have measured it – it is approximately 40mm in diameter (including the black bezel with the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 on) i.e. the part which should rotate. But it doesn’t rotate – it is an imitation diver’s watch. Similarly, you can’t use it for diving or even swimming even though it is rated as water resistant (not waterproof) to 30 metres. Paradoxically, a water resistance rating of 30 metres (on any watch) does not mean that you can dive with it to 30 metres - this is because the depth rating on watches refers to static pressure which is very different to actual pressure. It is water resistant to splashes of water e.g. rain but that is it – don’t wear it in the shower never mind when swimming. It comes with a tool to alter the length of the strap, with instructions, which means you can wear it straight away and saves you the cost of going a shop to shorten the strap. It’s a lovely looking, easy-to-read, masculine watch. Price at time of review: £37.99 (i.e. £39.99 but with a 5% discount voucher at the time of writing).
